Viggers Eriksen are subject to the Code of Conduct set out by the Danish Bar and Law Society (in Danish “de Advokatetiske Regler”) which defines the frames of our activities as attorneys, and which requires us to provide certain information to the world around us.

Legal formation and admission to practise law
Viggers Eriksen Advokatfirma I/S (“Viggers Eriksen”) is a partnership. All attorneys in Viggers Eriksen have been admitted by the Danish Ministry of Justice to practise law and are members of the Danish Bar and Law Society (in Danish “Advokatsamfundet”).
Liability insurance
Viggers Eriksen has taken out a liability insurance in accordance with the rules of the Danish Bar and Law Society, with CNA Insurance Company (Europe) S.A., Hammerensgade 6, 1, DK-1267 Copenhagen K, Denmark, and CNA Insurance Company (Europe) S.A. has simultaneously issued a compulsory guarantee for funds deposited in client accounts in accordance with the corresponding rules of the Danish Bar and Law Society. The liability insurance covers all legal services irrespective of where such services are provided.
Combined client accounts
We manage client funds in combined client accounts in accordance with the client account rules of the Danish Bar and Law Society (in Danish “klientkontovedtægten”) with AL Sydbank A/S.
Depositor guarantee scheme
The Danish Act on the Investor and Depositor Guarantee Scheme (in Danish “lov om indskyder- og investorgarantiordning”) applies to the deposits in our client accounts. This means that deposits up to EUR 100,000 will be covered if a bank is failing. This limit applies to our clients’ total deposits in the bank.
Terms of business
Viggers Eriksen’s terms of business are an integral part of our agreements with our clients. The terms of business contain standard provisions on governing law and jurisdiction.

Legal aid
In certain cases, Viggers Eriksen’s clients are entitled to public legal aid or legal aid available under an insurance.
Supervision
Viggers Eriksen’s attorneys are subject to the Danish Bar and Law Society’s supervision and disciplinary system and to the rules on professional conduct, see section 126 of the Danish Administration of Justice Act. In addition, the Code of Conduct of the Danish Bar and Law Society applies. The rules that apply specifically to the practice of law can be found on the website of the Danish Bar and Law Society www.advokatsamfundet.dk.
In case of a dispute in terms of fees charged by Viggers Eriksen and/or dissatisfaction with the conduct of one of Viggers Eriksen’s attorneys, the client may file a complaint about the amount of the fee and/or such conduct with the Disciplinary Board of the Danish Bar and Law Society (www.advokatnævnet.dk), Kronprinsessegade 28, 1306 Copenhagen K, Denmark.
